Tasty Tuesday: Jeff’s “French” Pastries
I am so far behind today… if you can’t tell. Alas, the life of an accountant the first week of the month. So, I was racking my brain trying to think of a simple, fun and yummy recipe to share… because I walked right out of the house without the recipe I was going to share… ugh.
Anyways, my brother Jeff started making these when he was in middle school. As some of you know, I lost him in 2000 in a car accident. But, this is one of those recipes that are easy to remember and are gooey and yummy.
“French” Pastries
2 tubes crescent rolls
1 bag Hershey chocolate nuggets
1 cup powdered sugar
Preheat the oven per the crescent roll tube. Unwrap enough Hershey nuggets for as many crescent rolls you have. Open the tube and tear apart the dough triangles. Place one nugget in the center of the dough triangle and roll up the crescent as normal. Make sure all of the chocolate piece is covered/sealed inside the dough. Bake according to the package directions. Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 minutes and then dust with powdered sugar. If there are any leftovers (LOL), place in tightly sealed container and warm in the microwave for a few seconds prior to eating.
Bon Appetit!
Can’t say I’d ever think to do something like that! It is something my middle schoolers would love to make on their own.
