It has been awhile since I have participated in Sunday Stealing. But, what the heck… If you haven’t heard of Sunday Stealing, it is a fun blog hop with “stolen” questions around the ‘net that you answer on your own blog. Then, you visit the Sunday Stealing linkup, add yours and visit others. It’s a lot of fun…. so, here we go.
1. The best story your parents or grandparents tell about the good ole days.
Probably the best story I remember, is my dad telling me about him and my mom going to a local carhop place, after doing a little street racing, while they were dating. Now, the story gets a little fuzzy as to whether my dad was racing or not. But, the story goes, they were enjoying their food when another racer/friend pulled in and said the cops were at the place they were racing and rounding everyone up to take them to jail.
2. The best things in life are…
Love, laughter, and good friends.
3. Things that drive me batty.
People who drive WAY too slow. And the morning drop off line at school.
4. A place I’d like to live and why.
I would love to live somewhere that I could enjoy views with both mountains and ocean. I love both, and would love to be able to just sit on my front porch and enjoy the views.
5. The best thing I’ve ever found.
I think the best thing I have ever uncovered was a ration book at my grandparent’s house. It was my grandpa’s during WWII. I ended up finding it again when we were cleaning out their basement, so I have it to give to my kids when they are older.
6. The best thing that happened recently is.
I know this is crazy, but the best thing that has happened recently is how much time I have been able to spend with my kids because of Covid and the shutdowns. We have spent so much time together and have created many adventures, as well as found a new love for geocaching.
7. I admire people who…
Have high self-esteem and who have confidence. I have to fake it most days because inside I am always questioning what I am doing or second-guessing my decisions or actions.
8. What makes me special?
I think my ability to roll with the punches, get up and dust off and keep going is what makes me special.
9. I am looking forward to…
I look forward to not wearing masks anymore.
10. Things that scare me…
Spiders, something happening to my kids, dying
11. Complaints I have…
When the sheets come off the bed, my hip is hurting today, and I keep forgetting to buy silver paint to finish the Delorean model my boyfriend bought me.
12. I could never live without…
13. Things that make me laugh…
Hearing my kids laugh, watching my cats play, funny jokes.
14. What is a new skill that you would like to learn?
I have always wanted to learn to do body work and paint cars. I always thought it would be an interesting thing to try.
15. What brightened your day today?
Being able to spend time with my daughter watching movies snuggled in my bed.
