Simple Sunday: Organizing the Holiday Season
A few years ago, I stumbled onto the website Organized Christmas.
Oh my. It was an organization junkie’s crack. Really.
Cynthia Ewer has created a step-by-step, week-by-week planning guide to get ready for Christmas. The best part? Come December, you are done! You are able to celebrate and enjoy the holidays with no stress.
I’m all for that.
There are several different types of plans. I like the Christmas Countdown. Each day, there is a special message related to the organization step. There is a Christmas binder you put together step-by-step that can be used and reused year after year. My favorite part is that each year you complete a Christmas values worksheet– you go through this with your family and evaluate your traditions and the things that are most important to you and your family. The plan helps you identify things that could be left out because they are causing too much stress or aren’t important in the scheme of things.
If you want to get in on the Christmas Countdown this year… visit the site. The Countdown just started, so you will have plenty of time to catch up!
There is also a large listing of really cool holiday crafts and recipes on the site. Everything from Reindeer Food to Jar Gifts, complete with poems and tags!
I have my Christmas binder printed and assembled and have faithfully read the daily countdown messages. So, come December… I will be less stressed and able to enjoy the holidays with my kids and husband. (Nana is probably laughing so hard she has tears in her eyes.) It could happen this year, you never know.
I encourage you to go check out Organized Christmas!
My New Year’s Resolution is to follow Cynthia’s Organized Home and create a household notebook… *sigh*
One of these days I will get organized again… one of these days.
Wow. Just what I need. Thanks for sharing!
