Philly Chicken Sausages
Our recipe for Philly chicken sausages are perfect on a busy weeknight or hot from the grill on the weekend. By combining several different flavors you might not normally put together, you come up with a delicious and easy sandwich that is sure to please even the pickiest eater.
Philly Chicken Sausages
4 chicken sausages with flavoring (we used jalapeno)
4 brat buns
2 Tablespoons spicy brown mustard
1/2 sweet onion, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 cup shredded cheese
In medium, non-stick skillet brown sausages, adding water as needed to keep from sticking. Cook for the amount of time indicated on the package. Meanwhile, in a small, non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the onions and green peppers, sauteing until they are tender crisp. Remove from heat. Place sausage in bun, top with 1/2 Tablespoon spicy brown mustard, place 1/4 of onion-pepper mixture down the center, then top with 1/4 cup shredded cheese.
