This mommy has issues. A few months ago, I was late picking the kids up from Nana. I had called and told her I was running late and that I was having some “issues” at work. I got to where we “kid swap” and as Bo was getting out of the car, he said “Mommy, do you have issues?” Rather than explain to him what was going on at work, I just said, “Yep, I had issues.”
Bad choice of words.
He walked into the house that night and immediately said to Don, “Daddy, mommy has issues.”
I am not really sure what Bo thinks issues are. But, that is his go-to word these days.
You ask him to pick up his toys: “I can’t, I have issues.”
You ask him to take a bath: “I am having an issue right now.”
A couple of weeks ago, I was freaking out about who knows what. I was rushing around the house, trying to get the kids dressed and out the door…
Bo says, “Calm down, mommy.”
Then, to no one in particular, I hear him say: “Mommy has issues.”
I laughed to myself.
I am the mom of twins.
Yes, Bo. Mommy has issues. Double.
