Girls Only Tea Party

April 24, 2015

What do you get when you combine a girls-only breakfast with an Easy Bake Oven and a 2-liter of Pepsi?  Why a tea party, of course!

Girl's Only Tea Party Mini Van Dreams

The boys went to breakfast for the Old Men’s Breakfast as we like to call it.  (Don meets his friends from school once a month.)  Bo went with daddy this time because they had to go man-shopping for a baseball bat and glove.  So, Mo and I decided we were going to breakfast too and have a girls day.

So, we headed off to Frisch’s in town and ate then we talked about what we were going to do after.  Mo suggested we make cupcakes in the Easy Bake Oven and have a tea party.  I agreed it sounded like a marvelous idea, so off to the store we went.

If you have never used an Easy Bake Oven, the food is tiny.  And it takes FOREVER to make the stuff.  I asked Mo if she wanted to make “real” cupcakes in the oven or the cupcake maker, but she wanted to use the Easy Bake Oven.  So, we started making the mixes…. and put them in the slot.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Mo went off to play video games.

Mommy waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Finally, we had cupcakes.

Time for the tea party to commence!

Mo loves hot tea.  I tried to convince her to let me buy her a “real” tea set so we could have “real” tea, but she wanted to use her plastic one.  So, we used Pepsi.

And, we had a wonderful time!

When the boys got home, we let them join in too… except we ate all the teeny, tiny cupcakes… and I wasn’t making more.
