Free Diabetes Planner Stickers

Before we get to the free diabetes planner stickers, please take a moment to read the following facts about diabetes. This serious disease affect millions of Americans each year.

According to the American Diabetes Associates, 34.2 million Americans had diabetes in 2018. Of those, 7.3 million were undiagnosed. There are two types of diabetes – Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is when your body doesn’t produce insulin at all. Type 2 is when your body produces the insulin, but doesn’t use it. Gestational diabetes is another form, which only occurs during pregnancy.

About Diabetes

There are several risk factors associated with diabetes. These include family history, geography (Type 1), underlying conditions, gestational diabetes, inactivity, weight, age, ethnicity, PCOS, and more. Diabetes can also cause complications – kidney disease, eye damage, foot damage, nerve damage, cardiovascular disease, hearing problems, skin problems, depression and Alzheimer’s! Left untreated, diabetes can kill you.

Symptoms of Type 2 diabetes include increased thirst, frequent urination, extreme hunger, fatigue, irritability, blurred vision, slow healing sores, and unexplained weight loss. If you have any of these symptoms, or just feel like something “isn’t right,” please see your doctor as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, Type 1 diabetes can not be prevented. However, Type 2 Diabetes can be prevented (and controlled) with a healthy diet, exercise, and following your doctor’s instructions.

So, why am I telling you all this on a post about free diabetes planner stickers? Last Friday, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I have not been feeling “right” for awhile, and had several signs of diabetes – but I kept telling myself I was fine and everything was just in my head. PSA: Don’t be like me. I finally went to the doctor and she got me all situated and now I am learning how to live with this disease.

Of course, what do I do – I start to make a plan in my planner! I wanted a way to log my glucose numbers , but there is not a lot of free planner stickers out there for diabetes. So, of course, I created my own and sharing them with you!

Do I need special supplies?

Nope! The basics that you will need are a printer, your planner, a pair of scissors and some sticker paper! That’s it! I do recommend getting a paper cutter of some sort – one that is used for scrapbooking is great for planner stickers. This makes cutting the stickers much easier. But, to be honest, I usually just use scissors!

How to use the free planner stickers:
