Five Question Friday – May 24th

May 24, 2013

It’s Five Question Friday time!  I was lucky enough to get a day off today at the last minute.  So, I am writing this in my pajamas and listening to the kids watch cartoons (don’t judge.)  It’s Memorial Day weekend… so, have a safe and happy one.  On to the questions…

Welcome to Five Question Friday!! You’ve come to the right place if you discovered your muses are gearing up for a holiday weekend.

Rules for 5QF: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then watch for the linky post to appear Friday morning and LINK UP!

Oh, and remember (pay close attention…this is the important one)…HAVE FUN!

Questions for Friday, May 24th: (Special thanks to Pam (@trooppetrie) from Troop Petrie, Brooke (@HallBro) from Brooke and Michael, Scott (@ThisDaddys_Blog) from This Daddy’s Blog, and Mama M for these 5QF question suggestions! 1. Do you wake before the alarm or stay in bed until the last possible second?

Last.  Possible.  Second.  Which, usually means hitting the snooze 2-3 times.

2. Who should get a baby shower? Is it just the first baby or all babies?

This is a tough one.  Definitely the first one, but if you are pumping out a unit every 9 months I don’t think you get any more showers.  However, if 3-4 years down the road you have a second child, you should get a shower.

3. How will you spend Memorial Day?

I honestly do not know what we are doing this weekend.  Maybe cooking out?

4. Do you have a Storm/Hurricane/Tornado/Fire plan for your kids, house..?

Yes.  I am a freak when it comes to storms and other emergencies.

5. What is your favorite morning drink?

It depends.  Everyone knows not to talk to me until I get my diet soda in me.  Even the controller of the company I work for knows.  Sometimes, I will drink a foo-foo coffee though… just depends.

good point on the shower thing. yeah if there is a long gap, you probably don’t have everything you need or it’s outdated or no longer “safe”. I know when my SIL had her daughter, her last child turned 8, she was looking for the sleep positioners. I had to tell her they were no longer safe and discontinued, she was shocked.

You left me here all alone today which makes me sad 🙁 but enjoy your day off! You’re not calling my sugar free french vanilla coffee foo-foo are you? Those are fighting words….

No, I was calling my Hazelnut Latte Mocha from Tim Horton’s foo-foo. LOL.

A woman should get one shower, but I have an alternative. In my book club it was done for me, and in my bible study, we did it for two women who had babies. It’s called a “sprinkle” instead of a full-blown shower. Just the group, no big party. We gave a few gifts, had a special little drink and a fun snack, but no games. So much fun.
Have a great Memorial weekend, whatever you end up doing!
