1. What’s the one personal hygiene thing you will not do in front of your spouse?

Who came up with THIS question?  LOL!  I’d probably have to say shape my eyebrows.  He makes me nervous when I am doing it and tries to talk to me and I am trying to concentrate.  A few years ago, my roommate from college got me hooked on eye brow razors… which are sharp.  So, having someone watch or talk to me while I have what is pretty much a straight blade against my eye brow freaks me out.

2. What’s your favorite thing about a newborn?

Their little lamb cries and their smell.  And, they aren’t old enough to talk back to you.

3. When is “too young” to have a Facebook account?

I seriously think anyone in middle school or younger are too young to have a Facebook account.  There are a lot of creepy people in the world and I think a person needs to be old enough to understand this and know how to deal with it appropriately.

4. What are you hoping for for Mother’s Day?

Two hanging baskets of purple petunias for my front yard.

5. What was the best field trip you ever took in school?

We never went anywhere cool like Washington, DC or New York.  The band did go to Florida my junior year to march in the Hall of Fame Bowl, compete in several band competitions and lead the parade at Disney.  But, I was so sick with a cold I can barely remember most of it.  I’d have to say the best one that I remember is when the indoor band and the wind ensemble went to Cedar Point for a band competition.  We stayed in a Holli-dome– you know, the place that has an indoor pool, games, putt-putt, etc.  Anyways, my mom was one of the chaperones.  Which, was fine… my mom was pretty cool with stuff like that.

During a pizza party the band was having, me and three other girls BELLY CRAWLED past the band director’s windows to sneak out to walk a half mile to a gas station to buy a 12 pack of Mountain Dew.  So, here we are– 4 teenage girls– hiking down a state highway to get to a gas station.  No one knew where we were.  No one knew we had left.  Now, how smart was that?  Have you seen Criminal Minds or Without a Trace.  Stupid idea, folks.

Anyways, we secured out 12 pack and snuck back into the hotel, with no one being any the wiser.  (Well, Nana knows now.)  Of course, the highlight of the evening wasn’t even that… it was the drunk guy falling off the balcony above our room, right past our window and onto the floor in front of our door.  Good times.

  1. We need to make the guys apply makeup a few times while we chat them up. Maybe a little mascara in the eye will make them stop doing it to us!

It sounds like you had some fun times with the band. HS clubs are cool for that; I had some awesome memories like that with French club.

  2. Falling OFF the balcony???? Oh my. Our Facebook answers? Spot on. Great minds, my friend, great minds!!
