1. How often should adults have birthday parties?
Adults should have parties for the “big” birthdays… 30, 35, 40, etc. I had a big luau for my 30th. Not sure what I am going to do for my 35th… but its coming soon.
2. What was your room decorated like when you were a child?
It was pink. I really didn’t have a theme or anything… alot of posters, and other crap hanging on the walls. At one point I had a kite suspended from the ceiling. I do have two posters– that are still hanging at Nana’s house that were my absolute favorites. They are so old, I am afraid to take them down. One is Miss Piggy and she is standing in her closet like she is trying to find something to wear… it’s hanging on my closet door. The other one is Kermit the Frog and it looks like a Calvin Klein ad and it says “Under where?”
3. Do you have any traditions for Easter? If so, what? and do you have a why behind that?
We do have a tradition… and I am not really sure why. It was what we did the first Easter when the kids were babies and we have done it each year since. We go up to the lake that is about 30 minutes away, eat at McDonalds right on the lake and then go out back to the dock and feed the ducks. I don’t know why we don’t go to church… this is our “thing” at Easter.
4. Do you get Good Friday off? If so, any plans?
I used to get Good Friday off with pay, but work changed the holiday schedule to make sure there was corporate coverage for the field. So, we were given extra floater holidays to use instead. I used one for today. The plans were to take the kids to daddy’s work for lunch… but now the Hubs is home with the flu. Not fun.
5. Did you wear hats & white shoes to church on Easter? (Or was that just in the South?)
I don’t know if I ever had white shoes… but, I always had an Easter hat to where to Church on Sunday. I seem to remember a lot of black patent leather shoes… not white. Perhaps Nana can elaborate?

I dont think you ever had white patent leather shoes and i dont know why. I do remember searching for those hats that you would wear and when little we even had white lace gloves. Having a new Easter outfit is like celebrating spring and the newness of the green grass and flowers and leaves on the trees.
