Five Question Friday – March 15th

March 15, 2013

Friday is half way over… WOOT!  It’s time for Five Question Friday.  Just spent a wonderful lunch with my friend Mandy, now back to the grind.  Welcome to Five Question Friday!! You’ve come to the right place if you want a fun, easy post or if you’ve suddenly discovered your muses are still all messed up from Daylight Savings.

Rules for 5QF: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then watch for the linky post to appear Friday morning and LINK UP!

Oh, and remember (pay close attention…this is the important one)…HAVE FUN!

Questions for Friday, March 15th: (Special thanks to Pam (@trooppetrie) from Troop Petrie, Elizabeth (@Eligabiff), Brooke (@HallBro) from Brooke and Michael, Courtney (@mom2xover2002) from Autism, ADHD and the Single Mom and moi for these 5QF question suggestions! I would love to link you in a future 5QF, so come on over to Mama M’s community or watch for my Thursday afternoon shout out for questions on Twitter and offer up your best question suggestions! Remember to follow Mama M @5crookedhalos and use hashtag #5QF if you go the Twitter route!)

1. What is one thing you wish you did not have to teach your children?

How to protect themselves from bad people in the world.  When I was a kid, we were able to run the neighborhood and didn’t have to worry about much of anything.  The neighbors knew us and we knew them.  Doors were always open.  You didn’t have to worry about someone snatching your child or molesting them… they were allowed to be kids.

2. What are you going to use since Google Reader is going away?

I am so behind the times… I don’t use Google Reader.  I just hop around to the blogs I have saved in my favorites and then visit some on the linkys each day.

3. British comedy; Hilarious or strange?

Hilarious.  I love me some Are You Being Served!

Ground floor:
Perfumery, stationary, and leather goods, wigs and haberdashery, kitchenware and food. Going up…

First floor:
Telephones, gents ready made suits, shirts, suits, ties, hats, underwear, and shoes. Going up…

Second floor:
Carpets, travel goods, and bedding, materials, soft furnishings, restaurants, and ties. Going down…

First floor:
Telephones, gents ready made suits, shirts, suits, ties, hats. Going down…

4. Do you prefer card games or board games?

I love board games, I am not to good at card games.  Well, except UNO.  I rock at UNO.

5. Will winter ever end?

I don’t think so, Jim.

I am so very thankful that where we live we are able to allow our kids to run and roam as we did when we were young. We live in a very small subdivision where we all know each other and know all the kids (of which there are a ton–18 in 7 households!). Plus many of the kids LOVE to play outside so during the summer….we rarely see our youngest!

Returning the favor – thanks for visiting me!

I think i use google reader, but only because it just popped up on my blogger home page and started listing the blogs I followed. I don’t know how I learned about it. I just saw a post about how to move everything to bloglovin, so I did. Now, I have no idea how people are to follow me. I am such an ignorant blogger.
