Five Question Friday and Fill in the Blank Fridays

1. What terrifies you the most?

I would have to say something happening to my kids… like someone kidnapping them or something worse.  Basically, what every mom worries about.

2. Favorite fall/winter drink?

In the fall, I love apple cider and in the winter I like hot chocolate and cappuccino.

3. Do you and your spouse have the same political views?

For the most part, we disagree on some local issues but other than that we are very similar in our voting choices.

4. What was the last book you read? Was it any good?

Out of Time by Deborah Truscott.    Oh my yes.  I normally don’t like science fiction-y books.  This one was amazing.  Supposedly, there is a sequel coming out called In the Nick– I can’t wait.  The premise is this woman is left a house by her uncle.  While she was in the shed getting something, she finds this man who happened to fall through a time wrinkle from the confederate war!  Super good read!  I was so shocked by the one part and then the end is amazing!  Dang, I might have to go read it again… LOL.

5. Do you look forward to the snow each winter? Why or why not?

Yes and no.  I like when it is falling and when it is so pristine and white on the ground– when the trees have that ice coating and glisten.  The snow is undisturbed and beautiful.  I HATE when the snow starts to melt or people start getting out in it and it turns that brownish, dirty snow… it drives me nuts.  And when the windshield gets that scuzzy crud on it.  I hate winter then.

 

 

1.  Something I swore I’d never do, but have ended up doing anyway is flying.  I used to say I would never fly.  But, I did and I loved it.

 

2.  Something I’ve always wanted to do is  ride in a hot air balloon.

 

3.  Something I have absolutely no desire to ever do is   sky jumping or bungee jumping.

 

4. The best thing I ever did was   have my kids.

 

5. When it comes to trying new things, I am  kind leery, depending on what it is.

 

6. One thing I’ve never done is  been swimming in the ocean.

 

7.  My favorite thing do do is  curl up on a Sunday afternoon and read… or nap.

I agree with you on the “most terrifying” question. That’s my biggest fear as well. If something ever happened to my little girl. My eyes are on here at every moment.   3. I read that book, too! It was free or almost free on Kindle. I wasn’t expecting to like it, as I also am not usually drawn to the science fiction genre, but I did like this book.
