Get ready to meet Britain’s worst inn keeper! Lilly Bartlett has done it again with her new release, Christmas at the Falling Down Guesthouse. After a phone call interrupts a nice dream she’s having, Lottie finds out her Aunt Kate has been hospitalized after a car accident. Reminiscent of the phone call she received during her parents’ dream vacation, Lottie bundles her daughter and herself off to Wales to see Aunt Kate.
After talking to the doctor, and finding her aunt is in a medically induced coma, Lottie suddenly remembers why they had to head to Wales for the Christmas holiday. A hotel reviewer, and his family, is on his way to stay through Christmas.
Lottie has five days to become the best bed and breakfast hostess to help her aunt… except Lottie is definitely not the domesticated type. And the hired help has left for Spain!
Lottie doesn’t know how to run a hotel. Aunt Kate is out of commission.
Aunt Kate needs this rating to keep the bed and breakfast open.
Lottie is only hope is a taxi driver named Danny… but is he going to be the elf or the Grinch?
This single is a great, funny, and feel-good read. As with all of Lilly’s other books, she makes you feel like you are part of the story. You feel like you could just pick up the phone and call the characters… because they are just like you and me. You just want to jump right in and help Lottie save Aunt Kate’s guesthouse!
I don’t want to spoil the ending, but once again Lilly has weaved an amazing story.
Christmas at the Falling-down Guesthouse goes on sale today, October 25th!
