Better to Give with Uncommon Goods

September 14, 2013

Did you know Christmas is 103 days away?  Have you started your shopping yet?  These days, most people do their shopping online and never step foot in an actual store.  You probably even already have an idea of what you will be buying for certain people, but what about that person who has everything or is hard to buy for?  Check out Uncommon Goods.  Not only can you buy a really cool and unique present for someone special on your list, your purchase also goes to help one of four charities of your choice!

Disclosure:  In exchange for this post, Uncommon Goods has made a donation to the Women for Women International, one of their sponsored charities.  All opinions and views expressed are my own.  All information and pictures used with permission.

Twelve years ago, Uncommon Goods started their Better to Give program and have since donated over $700,000!  For every purchase you make, Uncommon Goods will donate a $1 to a charity of your choice.  Uncommon Goods is a perfect place to start your Christmas shopping or to pick up a little something-something for yourself!  Their charities include:

RAINN  ( Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. The organization offers programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

American Forests  advocates for the protection and expansion of America’s forests, as well as works to protect and restore forests worldwide and is the oldest national non-profit organization in the United States.

Uncommon Goods offers cool and unique gifts for men, women, and children that range from amazing jewelry pieces (Note to the Hubs:  Click Here)  to home decor and kitchen tools.  Definitely a must for your Christmas shopping list!  The website (and print catalog) offers information about the artists, handmade goods and uncommon knowledge which is a fun Q&A section providing answers to life’s interesting questions.  Literally, there is a unique item for anyone and everyone.  Plus, you give back every time you purchase something– how cool is that?

We believe that creativity and the expression of individuality represent two great human treasures.
