If you are a long time reader, you know how much I love the simple way of life Amish and Mennonite families lead. When I was asked to review Gathering of Sisters by Darla Weaver, I jumped at the chance. A book about the “real” lives of Old Order Mennonite? Sign me up. So, I joined Darla, her five sisters, her mother and a bunch of kids for an entire year of Tuesday visits.
How many times do you wake up happy, with a positive attitude for the day? How often are you truly happy? How many times do you choose to make your life happy? Are you truly living your life as your authentic self? Jacqueline Pirtle has written an amazingly inspirational book that can help you do just that!
Anyone who knows me well, knows I love the Amish – the simple way they live and their deep faith and family roots. When I was asked to review Homespun: Amish and Mennonite Women in Their Own Words, I was honored to do so. I have enjoyed getting a glimpse into the lives of the authors and seeing how I can use their advice and ideas in my own home and life.

I am a snail mail (or happy mail) junkie. I love decorating my snail mail and Swap-bot swaps with fun stickers, stamps, washi tape… anything goes. I was using boring, old return address labels on my envelopes until my friends at iCustomLabel contacted me about trying some of their products. I jumped on the chance to kick my happy mail up a notch with custom labels.

Whenever I get the opportunity to review a book by Michele Gorman, I get excited. She is one of those authors who write like they are your best friend and always has a great tale to weave. Her latest book, Match Me If You Can is no exception.
A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to try out and review the Amazingly Beautiful AM and PM Revitalizer package from Trusted Health Products, which I loved. (You can check out that review here.) When Trusted Health Products asked me to try their Moisturizing Body Serum, also in the Amazingly Beautiful line, I jumped at the chance. As someone with very sensitive skin, I am always looking for a gentle, natural lotion to combat skin dryness. The body serum contains natural ingredients: orange peel oil, sweet almond kernel oil, lime peel oil, lemon peel oil, olive fruit oil, and avocado fruit oil… no harsh or unnatural chemicals.
