A few weeks ago, I was sent a set a of stainless steel measuring spoons to review. I threw them on the counter and forgot about them. Usually, I am an eye-baller when it comes to measuring. I decided to make some oatmeal cookies, and needed a measuring spoon to measure the ingredients. I couldn’t find my cheapo plastic ones. I remembered that Natizo sent me their stainless steel measuring spoons. I was in business.
I don’t know about you, but I think we are still using the plastic measuring cups that I bought when we had our first house. You can’t even read the measurements anymore… I would rewrite the sizes with permanent marker every once in awhile. So, when I was given a chance to review KitchenMaid’s™ Stainless Steel Measuring Cups I jumped at the chance. And, yes, I threw away all the old plastic ones…
Back in 1995, Country Choice® arrived on the scene at the Organic Food Expo with some cookies and a vision. Almost 20 years later, they are offering a variety of organic products that include cookies, instant oatmeal, regular oatmeal and more! They have also introduced a new line of gluten-free oats. Now, I know oatmeal is already gluten free. But, did you know that most oatmeal products are usually grown and processed near gluten products? However, Country Choice® has created a farm to table approach that minimized gluten exposure. Plus, they have been certified organic!
When I was given the opportunity to review Brick by Brick by David C. Robinson, I figured it was going to be one of those boring “business” books that I hate to read. I was very surprised when I began reading this – while it is a business-type book, it isn’t like most business books. I immediately found myself becoming interested in the story and the outcome, in addition to thinking about how I could apply it to my company.

So, if you are in the grocery store and have a hankering for your grandma’s apple pie – you can just access Dish Dish from your mobile device (they have an app!) and get the ingredients right there in the baking aisle!
Once again, Kim Vogel Sawyer has written an amazing novel. Echoes of Mercy is about a young woman who goes undercover at a candy factory to discover the truth about a colleague’s death and to report on child labor in the factory. Meanwhile, the owner’s son is also undercover in an attempt to get to know the business and employees prior to taking over for his father.
