So, you want to be a DIY Blogger? Welcome to the club! My blog started as a place to share stories about the twins growing up, and has since morphed into more. I share recipes, scrapbooking tutorials, card making tutorials, and several other things. Don’t be too caught up in what your “niche” is– and let your blog take you where it wants to go. And, if that direction happens to be in the do-it-yourself blogging arena… here are some tips, tricks, and other info that I have learned along the way.
My friend Karen over at Dino Hero Mommy gave me the Epically Awesome Award of Epic Awesomeness. (Say that 5 times fast!). How cool is that? Karen was one of the first mommy bloggers I “met” online when I first started. She too had fertility problems and was blessed with a son. We have a lot in common– just wish I would have known her so we could have supported each other through the rough times of infertility!
Even though your blog is pretty much self-sufficient when it comes to coding, there are still some times you need to tweak something or add some html to your post or sidebar to make your blog look just the way you want it. Today, I am going to share some easy and useful HTML codes, as well as how to add these to your blog in WordPress and Blogger. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and is used to describe web pages. Everything that is on your blog– from the background to the font is all coded with HTML. Its really kinda cool if you think about it.
This is a quick and simple tutorial on how to make a blog button and “grab my button” section on your blog. If you don’t have a button, this is a great way to make one to share on blog hops and on button swaps. If you make one, feel free to send it to me and we can swap!
