I am in a teal mood this week. We just had a brand new storm door installed and now I have a hankering to paint my front door teal. So, I thought I’d create a set of free social media icons in teal! You can download these free teal social media icons in 48px, 56px, or 62px. I have included some of the most common social media platforms, but as always if there is something special you need let me know and I will get it added! Enjoy this set!
This past weekend, I received the dreaded email from Google – a manual action was taken against my site. Say what? I had no clue what was going on. For those who do not know, I run this blog with my own funds and because it is fun for me. I do not accept paid advertising, nor do I participate in any shady SEO practices. Literally, I am just a mom with a blog. Imagine my surprise, when I opened up my email and found this note from Google…

Happy August! Not only is August my birthday month, but it is one month closer to my favorite season… Fall. We are getting ready for fair week in our town. Today, after work, I am running my fair cards to the grandstand to get them judged. I can’t wait to show them to you. One of my cards has a sunflower on it, so in honor of the fair and the dog days of summer, I thought I would create a set of sunflower social media icons. As always, these are free to use! If there is a specific color you would like to see in the future (yes, you can even give me the HEX code) I can see about creating some. Hope you enjoy this set!
Last week, I wanted to find HTML Code to Add Box to Text when I was sharing my Marsala Social Media Icons. I wanted to find a way to “jazz” up the code to use for the icons, but didn’t want to mess with some big long, set-up-a-box-css-thing when I just wanted a quick fix while I was typing. And, I hate plugin bloat – even though I am sure there is some awesome plugin that could be used. But, I don’t use stylized boxes like what I wanted enough to justify another plugin.
Note: This tutorial is for a beginning blogger who just wants one or two boxes every once in awhile in a post. If you are looking for something other than that, please find a CSS tutorial on how to create custom boxes.
